Feeling “out of sync” happens to everyone from time to time. Sometimes when it’s happening to you it can feel like nothing is working. When this happens, do not worry–it will turn around.

When you are out of sync remember this:

1.You are not alone. Everyone has these times/days/weeks when it feels like you are swimming upstream.

2. Take a rest. When you notice things aren’t working and you are working harder than you should, give yourself permission to stop. Be sure to take some time for yourself. Disconnect from the normal day to day routine. Maybe you can tuck into a movie theater or head to a park. Either way, take some time for yourself.

3. Keep in mind — This too shall pass. There is always a new day, and with a new day comes new opportunities. Look for those opportunities to show up in places you least expect them.

4. Read your vision. If you have a clear vision for yourself, it will help you recalibrate and get back in sync with what you are here to do.

5. Meditate. Meditation is a gift that keeps on giving. This will help you to find calmness. Remember, challenges are gifts for us to grow from. If we keep mindful that everything is a gift, even those things that don’t appear to be a gift at first, when looking back, will be seen as valuable gifts. This will help you to be more open.

When we are out of sync we tend to close up, cocoon-like, with ourselves. That is perfectly okay. When we are out of sync, the key is to realize this doesn’t have to last forever. Success is just on the other side of our challenges, even when the greatest challenge is ourselves.

Live. Love. Thrive.
